About Quick Release Racing, Inc

Quick Release Racing, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth of bicycle racing, both road and mountain, for developing and maintaining athletes with the potential to represent the United States in Olympic and World competition. Through corporate and private donations, athletes that have proven or shown promise are given the resources to continue their development with the hope and intention of one day representing the United States at this level.

Quick Release Racing works with many cycling programs around the country that share this devotion and dedication including: Ann Arbor Velo Club, Boston Women's Sports Group and Orlando Velo. Quick Release Racing also supports its own group of athletes who also act as ambassadors for the sport by giving talks to school groups, corporate audiences, working as coaches and mentors for young athletes, as well as trail maintenance projects in conjunction with the International Mountain Biking Association and its local chapters around the country.

Founder and President David Myers has been a life long cyclist and previously served on the board of the Ann Arbor Velo Club as well as terms as President and Treasurer. David is also an active USA Cycling Expert Level Coach. When not cycling, he works as a commercial photographer, coffee roaster, and commercial real estate developer.

Board member Dr. Paul Decker, DDS is also a life long cyclist. He recently began cycling again with his two childredn, Katie and Riley. In addition to cycling, Paul assists with his children's ski racing and lacrosse teams and recently started mountain bike racing himself. Paul practices family dentistry in Davison, MI and his wife, Dr. Janice Pilon pracitce dentistry in Flint, MI.

Board member David Steinberg loves to mountaiin bike and has participated in the Iceman Cometh race each November for the past 10 years. In addition to cycling, he is an acitve rower, skier and runner. David is the medical director for the St. Josephs Medical Center Rehabilitation Services in Ann Arbor Michigan. He has consulted with several elite level athletes competing in running, swimmin and cycling. He also serves on the board of the Center for Independent Living.
